A line that shows how your account's money went up and down, trade after trade.

The fuller meaning

A chart of account value, or cumulative R, over time or trade number. Its dips are drawdowns; its slope shows expectancy and its roughness shows variance. A suspiciously smooth backtest curve often points to look-ahead bias or overfitting.
