Explained simply
Showing an AI a chart picture is like asking a friend to read a sign from across the street. They usually get the gist, but small numbers can come out wrong, especially if the picture is blurry. So you walk over and read the sign yourself before you act.
The lesson
Many AI assistants can look at a chart image and describe the trend, levels and patterns they see. They often misread axis numbers, miscount candles or name a pattern that is not really there. Blurry, cropped or tiny screenshots make these errors more likely. Treat the description as a second opinion and confirm each claim on the chart before it affects a trade.
A worked example
Illustrative example: the AI says 'support at 1,480, touched 3 times'. On the chart, the three lows are 1,408, 1,411 and 1,405, so the true support is near (1,408 + 1,411 + 1,405) / 3 = 1,408. The AI swapped two digits. Your plan puts the stop 10 points below support. With the AI's number the stop would be 1,480 - 10 = 1,470, but with the true level it is 1,408 - 10 = 1,398. The wrong stop would sit 1,470 - 1,398 = 72 points too high, above the real support, where ordinary dips could hit it.
The same idea at four levels
- Beginner. An AI can look at a chart picture and describe what it sees.
- Foundation. It can misread small numbers on the price axis, so check every price it gives you.
- Intermediate. Send a sharp, full-size chart with the price axis showing, and check each level by hovering over it or drawing a line.
- Advanced. Test every pattern name against its rules, for example a double bottom needs two lows near the same price with a peak between them, because a name alone proves nothing.
- Expert. Keep a short log of what the AI misreads, such as swapped digits or miscounted touches, so you know exactly where to look hardest next time.
Mistakes to avoid
- Trusting price levels read from a blurry or cropped screenshot.
- Accepting a pattern name without checking its rules yourself.
- Checking only the first level the AI mentions and skipping the rest.
