slippage
When your trade happens at a worse price than you expected, because price moved too fast.
The fuller meaning
The difference between the expected and actual fill price. It is most likely around results, central bank decisions and weekends and in thin markets; a stop that becomes a market order after a gap can fill far past its level, so traders trade smaller before known events.
slippage.
