broken level

A floor or ceiling that price has already pushed through. Price often comes back to test it from the other side.

The fuller meaning

A support or resistance level that price has closed through. After a breakout price often returns to test it; if the old ceiling now holds as a floor (role reversal) the break gains weight, while a failed retest of the broken level warns that the break may be false.
