A kind of AI that has read huge amounts of text and writes answers by guessing the most likely next words.

An AI model trained on large amounts of text to predict the next word or token. Good at summarising, explaining terms, drafting plans and code; weak at facts beyond its training data and at prices: it can confabulate numbers and sources, and it cannot predict the market.
