A rule that tells you when you must not trade at all, like just before big news.
The fuller meaning
A written condition that forbids new trades, such as no entries 15 minutes before high-impact news, after hitting the daily loss limit or when timeframes conflict at a major level. The plan outranks any alert or signal, and no-trade rules are part of a complete strategy specification.
