body
The thick part of a candle, showing where price started and where it finished during that time.
The fuller meaning
The rectangle between a candle's open and close, also called the real body. Its size relative to the whole range shows who controlled the period: a big body means one side dominated, a tiny one means indecision. Green means the close is above the open, red below.
