gap fill
When price comes back and trades through the empty space it left on the chart.
The fuller meaning
Price returning to cover the empty space of a gap, back to the prior candle's high after a gap up or low after a gap down. Common and exhaustion gaps are often filled soon; breakaway and runaway gaps tend to start or continue moves and may stay open.
