higher high

A top that is higher than the last top, one of the steps that shows prices are climbing.

The fuller meaning

A swing high above the previous swing high. Together with higher lows it defines an uptrend; its failure, a lower high, is an early warning that the trend is tiring, and divergence compares higher highs in price with an indicator.
