pullback
A short move against the main direction, like a small dip during a climb, before the climb often carries on.
The fuller meaning
A temporary counter-trend move, also called a retracement, such as a dip to support, a moving average or a Fibonacci zone in an uptrend. Pullbacks give better entries than chasing, but a pullback that breaks structure may be a reversal instead.
