retest
When price comes back to a level it just broke through, to check if the old ceiling now works as a floor.
The fuller meaning
A return to a broken level after a breakout. If the old resistance holds as support, the retest confirms the break and offers a defined-risk entry with the stop on the far side; if price falls back through, the breakout may be false.
