How steep a line on the chart is, going up, down or flat.

The fuller meaning

The steepness and direction of a trendline, channel or moving average. Rising slopes show uptrends and falling ones downtrends; a very steep trendline breaks sooner, and a flattening moving-average slope can warn that the trend is losing strength.
