support
A price floor where buyers keep stepping in, so price often stops falling and bounces up.
The fuller meaning
A price zone where buying has repeatedly stopped declines. It is drawn as a zone, not a thin line, and gains weight with more touches, volume and round numbers. A decisive close below it is a breakdown, and broken support often becomes resistance on a retest.
