swing high
A peak on the chart where price turned down, higher than the candles on both sides of it.
The fuller meaning
A candle whose high is above the highs of the candles on each side; many traders check two candles on each side, so a swing high is confirmed only two candles later. Swing highs build structure, mark resistance and set breakout triggers and stops for short trades.
