timeframe

How much time each candle on a chart shows, like one hour, one day or one week.

The fuller meaning

The period each candle covers, from minutes to weeks. Longer timeframes show the bigger picture, move slowly and have less noise; shorter ones show more detail and more noise. Always check the timeframe before judging a move, since one candle can cover a minute or a week.
