volume bar
A small bar under each candle showing how much trading happened then.
The fuller meaning
The histogram bar under a candle showing the volume traded in that period, often coloured by candle direction and compared with a 20-candle average line. Tall bars on breakouts show strong participation; bars shrinking at new highs can warn a move is tiring.
