broker

A company that lets you buy and sell in the markets and looks after your account.

The fuller meaning

A regulated firm that executes clients' orders and holds their accounts, charging commission or brokerage. With leveraged products the broker or exchange asks for more money in a margin call or closes the position itself. Check a broker's registration with the regulator before depositing money.
