chart

A picture of how a price has moved over time, usually drawn with candles.

The fuller meaning

A graphical record of price, and often volume, over time; in this app, candlestick charts at timeframes from minutes to weeks. The same market looks different at each zoom, so traders check the timeframe before judging a move and read structure, levels and patterns from the chart.
