market value

What the whole company is worth at today's share price: the price of one share times the number of shares.

The fuller meaning

Share price multiplied by the number of shares, also called market capitalisation. It lets companies with very different share prices be compared, and it is the numerator of price-to-sales; a high share price alone says nothing about how big or expensive a company is.
