A written list of what you will do before, during and after a big news event, like a team's game plan.
The fuller meaning
A pre-written set of responses for recurring situations, such as an event playbook covering before, during and after a scheduled announcement: cut size or wait, avoid the first chaotic minutes, then trade only planned setups once the reaction settles.
