squeeze
When price swings get smaller and smaller and price gets squashed into a tight space, often before a bigger move.
The fuller meaning
A period of shrinking range and volatility, such as Bollinger Bands pinching together or a triangle's lines converging. Squeezes often come before bigger moves, but they do not tell the direction, so traders wait for a close outside the squeeze.
