volume profile
A sideways bar chart that shows how much trading happened at each price, not at each time.
The fuller meaning
A sideways histogram of volume traded at each price over a chosen period. The price with the most volume is the point of control, and the value area holds about 70% of the volume; high-volume areas often act as support or resistance, while price tends to race through low-volume areas.
