converging lines
Two lines on a chart that get closer and closer together, like the sides of a triangle.
The fuller meaning
Two trendlines that move toward each other, forming triangles and wedges. They show swings and volatility shrinking as price coils; in a wedge both lines slope the same way, in a symmetrical triangle they slope toward each other, and the pattern resolves on a close outside one line.
