delivery month
The month when a buy-it-later deal is due to finish, which is part of the deal's name.
The fuller meaning
The month in which a futures contract expires and settles, fixed in the contract with its quantity and quality; exchanges list several delivery months at once. Traders who want to stay in must close the expiring contract and open a later month, which is called rolling.
