E-mini

A popular contract that follows a big group of US shares. Each point it moves is worth a fixed amount of money.

The fuller meaning

The CME E-mini S&P 500 future: worth 50 dollars times the index, moving in steps of 0.25 index point (12.50 dollars) and cash-settled on a March, June, September and December cycle; the Micro E-mini is 5 dollars per point. Size comes from the stop distance in points times the value per point.
