FINRA

A US group that watches over the companies that handle people's trades, to keep them honest.

The fuller meaning

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, which oversees US broker-dealers under the SEC; the SEC covers securities markets and the CFTC covers futures. Its rules include risk disclosures for extended-hours trading, and investors can check a firm's registration before opening an account.
