NSE
India's biggest stock exchange, where people buy and sell shares of Indian companies.
The fuller meaning
The National Stock Exchange of India, one of India's two main exchanges with BSE, home of the Nifty 50. After a 9:00 to 9:15 pre-open, most shares trade to 15:30 India time, while shares with F&O end with a 15:15 to 15:35 closing auction; most trades settle T+1, and the exchange sets F&O lot sizes, reviewed every six months.
