order

An instruction you send to buy or sell, such as 'buy 10 shares now' or 'sell if price drops to here'.

The fuller meaning

An instruction to a broker or exchange to buy or sell, for example market, limit, stop or stop-limit orders. Orders cluster at round numbers and key levels, which is one reason those levels matter; any order can suffer slippage in fast or thin markets.
