quote currency
The second money named in a currency price. It tells you how much of it you pay for one unit of the first money.
The fuller meaning
The second currency in a forex quote, in which the price of one unit of the base currency is expressed. In EUR/USD the dollar is the quote currency, so pip values are naturally in dollars; pairs quoted in yen use a pip of 0.01.
