left shoulder
The first of three peaks in a chart shape that looks like a head between two shoulders.
The fuller meaning
The first peak of a head and shoulders top, or the first low of an inverse pattern, formed before the higher head. The neckline joins the lows (or highs) on either side of the head; the right shoulder usually forms at about the same height as the left.
