symmetrical triangle
A chart shape where the tops get lower and the dips get higher, squeezing price into a point before it breaks out either way.
The fuller meaning
A triangle of lower highs and higher lows converging toward an apex, showing swings and volatility shrinking. Many traders treat it as a continuation pattern, but it can break either way, so it stays neutral until price closes outside one line; in this app the setup follows the side it broke.
